ABOUT THE PROJECT

For this project content updaters needed to have the ability to reuse and insert views on different pages throughout the site using layout builder. A majority of these pages required similar views but with different contextual parameters passed in. In order to have maximum reusability and avoiding creating unnecessary views we created custom blocks to achieve this. The block would essentially embed a view, but would provide specialized field settings in the layout builder block configuration panel. These settings would persist as configurations so that they would retain their filter settings.

EXAMPLE Of USAGE

• User selects Custom Office Block
• Insert block, select Division and select Location
• View dynamically gets passed filters and displays result on page
